When I woke up this morning, I did NOT want to face the day ahead. I'm working thru social issues at work (yay those), along with an overwhelming amount of work due. Waking up this way has become typical for many of us.

First, I got up anyway, of course. We have to, unless you have sick days to use. Even those run out 😞.

I knew I had to meet the day with a podcast which means, enough energy to motivate. I jumped in the shower and after the heat soothed my aching lower back (yay weights and incorrect form), I did what I do every day that has amazing benefits. I turned the hot water off and went full cold .

A cold shower has wonderful benefits physically, and emotionally. I researched the direct effect cold showers have on just emotions, and there is science to back it up.

When you take a cold shower, you are increasing the release of the hormone norepinephrine (one that calms you down) to the blood, which will have a positive influence on focus, attention, and mood.
